Remember the Holidays?

We sure as hell do! It is hard to believe that we are starting our second month of this fresh new year. We came back from our holiday island sojourn with renewed vigor and hit January with all we had. Now, going into February, Blondie and I need a little reminder of what it was like to be lazy and cheerful and warm (currently -16C). Keep reading to discover fun(ny) things about our time south of the Equator at Six Senses Fiji (not a sponsored post, but I wouldn’t mind if it were ;})

Downtown Double Crossing

Mistakes were made and the culprits were dealt with severely.

One of the pleasures of working with old film cameras is that sometimes a mistake is made that turns out better than the originally intended shot. I think this is one of those times. For those of you keeping track, the photos are of Washington Street and the Brattle Book Shop in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. They were shot on Kodak Portra 400 with a Yashica Lynx 14e and processed/printed by the good people at ColorTek Boston.

A New Year

LalbachBoysSM

It is 2016 all of a sudden and we’ve survived our first year in China. Recently, as in yesterday, I did a little self-assessment about what I’ve learned and done over the past year and then made a list of things that I would like to accomplish before we leave in a year or so. Since one of my goals for this year (as it seems to be every year) is to post more on this blog, I figured I would tell you all about it – sort of catching up, if you will. Also, I will pepper in a few new photos just in case this bulls__t bores you. Read more
